I am an experimental physicist with a background in soft matter, spectroscopy, optics, and nonlinear optics. My research interests lie at the intersection of physics, materials science, and soft robotics, where I enjoy combining experimental design, custom instrumentation, and collaborative approaches to explore complex systems.
During my Ph.D. at the Università degli Studi di Milano, I worked on developing a custom microrheology setup with integrated optics and microfluidics, which strengthened my expertise in both rheology and optical methods. I have applied a variety of techniques, including nonlinear spectroscopy, rheology, and microscopy, to investigate the behavior of soft and complex fluids.
At present, I am a postdoctoral fellow in the Bioinspired Soft Robotics group at Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), where I contribute to the assembly and testing of soft robotic prototypes. This work has given me the opportunity to collaborate closely with colleagues from different disciplines and to learn from engineering and robotics perspectives.
I also had the chance to gain industrial experience during an internship at Procter & Gamble, where I became familiar with industrial R&D challenges and contributed to a project on data analysis that led to internal presentations and is currently being prepared for publication.
I value working in multidisciplinary environments, learning from others, and contributing to shared goals. I try to remain calm and focused in challenging situations, which helps me carry out experiments carefully even under pressure. I look forward to continuing to learn, collaborate, and contribute to research in soft matter and related fields.
