Abhishek Rawat received the bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering, Mumbai University, India, in 2018, and the master’s degree in Design and Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, Milan, Italy, in 2023. His master’s thesis was carried out at KIT Japan, which focused on the development of a nanoscale needless electrospinning technique using ultrasonic transducers, involving prototype design and multiphysics simulation for fiber optimization.
From 2020 to 2021, he joined Rymo Technologies, IIT Bombay SINE, as a Design Engineer Intern, where he worked on the development of rehabilitation devices. He further gained experience in mechanical and mechatronic design during his internships at CorsiRhino and Semmel SRL in Milan, contributing to product design, additive manufacturing, and PCB-based mechatronic systems.
He is currently a Research Fellow with the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), Genoa, Italy, working with the iRonCub team on the design and validation of actuators for a humanoid robot.
