Haydr Al Haj Ali is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology. He obtained his Ph.D. in Electronic and Communication Engineering from the University of Genoa, Italy. His doctoral work focused on developing artificial intelligence and neuromorphic computing methods for edge devices, with applications in human–machine interfaces (HMI).
He is currently collaborating with the Smart Materials and Event-Driven Perception for Robotics groups on the development of biosensors for marine health monitoring. His work focuses on processing the signals acquired from these sensors using neuromorphic computing approaches, aiming to minimize energy consumption and enable an end-to-end environmentally sustainable pipeline from sensing to computation.
